Then collapse of the Arctic affects not only Arctic industries and municipalities, but the rest of the globe. The loss of glacial ice means sea level rise and dilution of salinity. Loss of fauna affects ecosystems. Loss of sea life affects other fishing industries. Loss of habitat drives animals to extinction or to relocate into human inhabited areas.
